1. Data Controller

2. Types of Data Collected
Swimetrics processes only data voluntarily provided by the user or technical data necessary for the functioning of the App, including:
- data related to swimming sessions (time, distance, pace, laps, stroke, etc.);
- derived metrics (e.g. SWOLF, stroke rate, statistics and trends);
- heart rate data, if available;
- data imported from Apple Watch or the Health app (Apple Health), with user consent;
- data manually entered by the user;
- app preferences and settings;
- technical information necessary for subscription management.
3. Data Processing Methods
All personal data:
- are processed locally on the user’s device;
- are not transmitted to servers owned by Swimetrics;
- are not used for profiling or marketing purposes.
Swimetrics does not have remote access to the user’s personal data.
4. Data from Apple Health
If the user chooses to integrate Swimetrics with Apple Health:
- data is accessed only with explicit user authorization;
- data is used solely to provide app functionality;
- data is not shared with third parties nor used for advertising purposes.
Swimetrics does not write data to Apple Health without explicit user consent.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
Payment and subscription data are handled exclusively by:
- Apple, via In-App Purchases;
- RevenueCat, as a technical intermediary for subscription management.
RevenueCat may process limited technical information related to subscriptions (e.g. subscription status, purchase events, timestamps), solely to ensure proper app functionality.
Such data is associated with pseudonymized identifiers and does not allow direct user identification.
Swimetrics does not collect or store payment data.
6. Purpose of Data Processing
Data is used exclusively to:
- provide app functionality;
- display workouts, statistics, and progress;
- generate insights and analysis of swimming sessions;
- manage access to and operation of the app.
Information Limitations
The information and insights provided by Swimetrics are intended solely for informational and swimming performance analysis purposes.
Swimetrics does not provide medical advice and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, treatment, or cure of any medical condition.
Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions related to their health.
7. Legal Basis
Data processing is based on:
- user consent;
- contractual necessity;
- legitimate interest in ensuring proper app functionality.
8. Data Retention
Data is stored exclusively on the user’s device until:
- manual deletion;
- app uninstallation.
9. User Rights
Users have the right to:
- access their data;
- modify or delete it;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- request data deletion.
These rights can be exercised directly within the app.
10. Security
Swimetrics implements appropriate technical measures to protect data stored locally on the user’s device.
